FROM BUTALA TO GLOBAL UNIVERSITIES: A NEW ACADEMIC BRIDGE FOR PUNJAB STUDENTS

For many families across Butala, Baba Bakala, Amritsar district and the wider Punjab region, education is no longer viewed only through a local lens.

Students may be studying in Punjab today while imagining their future at universities in:

Canada

United Kingdom

United States

Australia

New Zealand

Europe

UAE

India

or another international destination.

For some families, international education is already part of everyday discussion.

Relatives may be living overseas.

Older siblings may already be studying internationally.

Parents may be exploring universities years before their child reaches Class 12.

Students may already be asking:

“Can I study in Canada?”

“Which subjects should I choose?”

“What grades will I need?”

“Can I qualify for scholarships?”

“Will I need IELTS?”

“Which country is best for my course?”

These are important questions.

But there is an even more important question that can come first:

HOW CAN A STUDENT BECOME INTERNATIONALLY PREPARED BEFORE CLASS 12 IS FINISHED?

The collaboration between Shri Kalgidhar Public Senior Secondary School, Butala and Victoria Academy, Ontario, Canada creates an additional pathway for eligible students to begin that preparation earlier.

Students can remain connected to their school, family and community in Punjab while exploring Ontario high school learning online.

BEGIN IN BUTALA.

BUILD CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE.

DEVELOP INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC SKILLS.

PREPARE FOR GLOBAL UNIVERSITY OPTIONS.

BUTALA ROOTS. BABA BAKALA COMMUNITY. GLOBAL EDUCATION AMBITION.

A student's hometown does not need to limit the scale of their academic ambition.

A student may grow up in Butala, attend school within the Baba Bakala area, remain closely connected to family and community, and still prepare for universities around the world.

That is one of the most significant changes created by online education.

International academic exposure no longer always requires an international move during high school.

Students can begin preparing from home.

For families in and around:

Butala

Baba Bakala

Beas

Amritsar district

nearby Punjab communities

the opportunity can be understood simply:

LOCAL SCHOOLING CAN REMAIN THE FOUNDATION.

CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL LEARNING CAN BECOME AN ADDITIONAL PATHWAY.

GLOBAL UNIVERSITY PLANNING CAN BEGIN EARLIER.

WHY THIS MATTERS IN THE AMRITSAR–BABA BAKALA REGION

Punjab has a strong international outlook.

Across many communities, families are familiar with the idea of studying and working overseas.

Canada has historically been one destination discussed frequently, but students today may also consider:

UK

USA

Australia

New Zealand

Europe

UAE

and other international education markets.

That growing range of choices creates both opportunity and complexity.

Students need to understand much more than:

“WHICH COUNTRY SHOULD I CHOOSE?”

They also need to understand:

Which career suits me?

Which university program supports that career?

Which school subjects are prerequisites?

What marks are competitive?

Which Grade 12 courses will universities evaluate?

Are scholarships available?

What academic skills will I need after admission?

How can I prepare before leaving India?

The earlier these questions are explored, the more informed future decisions can become.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION SHOULD START WITH ACADEMIC PREPARATION — NOT AN AIR TICKET

Going abroad is a physical move.

Preparing for global education is an academic process.

The two are not the same.

A student may be ready to travel but not yet ready for:

Independent assignments

Research

Presentations

Academic writing

Problem-solving

University deadlines

Group projects

Continuous assessment

Self-directed learning

and living in a new academic culture.

That is why the stronger goal is not simply:

“GET READY TO GO ABROAD.”

It is:

“GET READY TO STUDY SUCCESSFULLY ABROAD.”

The Ontario high school pathway can help students begin developing that readiness before university.

WHAT IS OSSD?

Ontario Secondary School Diploma

OSSD stands for:

ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL DIPLOMA.

It is the high school graduation credential of Ontario, Canada.

Victoria Academy provides Ontario secondary-school education for eligible students in Grades 9–12.

Victoria Academy
Ontario, Canada
BSID #884963

Students who successfully complete all applicable Ontario graduation requirements may earn the full:

ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL DIPLOMA.

For international students, the OSSD can provide a structured Canadian high school pathway and an Ontario academic record that may support future university applications.

CAN STUDENTS IN BUTALA STUDY CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL ONLINE?

YES, SUBJECT TO ELIGIBILITY AND ACADEMIC REVIEW.

Eligible students can complete Ontario high school courses online through Victoria Academy.

This means a student studying at Shri Kalgidhar Public Senior Secondary School may potentially:

Continue regular school education in Punjab

Remain at home with family

Continue local academic responsibilities

Participate in school life

Study Ontario courses online

Earn eligible Ontario high school credits

Build a Canadian academic record

Develop international academic skills

Plan university prerequisites earlier

Explore universities around the world

The objective is not to force students to leave their current school.

It is to add another academic opportunity.

ONE STUDENT. TWO COMPLEMENTARY EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES.

The pathway can bring together:

EXISTING SCHOOL EDUCATION IN PUNJAB

and

ONTARIO HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION THROUGH VICTORIA ACADEMY

The local school remains the student's educational foundation.

Victoria Academy provides the Ontario high school component.

This allows eligible students to develop an additional international academic pathway while remaining connected to their school community.

STAY IN BUTALA. BEGIN CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL LEARNING.

There can be a tendency to think that international education starts only after relocation.

That is no longer always true.

A student can remain in Butala and begin:

Ontario Coursework

Canadian Credit Development

Academic English Practice

Research-Based Learning

Project Work

Independent Study

University Prerequisite Planning

International University Research

The student's home remains the same.

The academic horizon becomes wider.

WHY START BEFORE CLASS 12?

Many students begin serious university research after Class 12.

By then, several important academic decisions may already have been made.

The student may already have:

Selected subjects

Completed Grade 11

Entered Grade 12

Missed a prerequisite

Chosen the wrong mathematics level

Ignored a required science

or delayed scholarship research.

Starting earlier provides more time to understand the pathway.

A student can gradually move from:

“I WANT TO GO ABROAD.”

to:

“I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO STUDY.”

then:

“I KNOW WHICH UNIVERSITIES OFFER IT.”

then:

“I KNOW WHICH SUBJECTS I NEED.”

and finally:

“I AM BUILDING THE RIGHT ACADEMIC PROFILE.”

That is a much stronger progression.

FROM A STUDY-ABROAD DREAM TO A STUDY-ABROAD PLAN

Dreaming is important.

Planning turns that dream into something more practical.

A student may begin with:

“I want to study in Canada.”

The next questions should be:

What program?

Which university?

Which Grade 12 subjects?

What admission average?

What English requirement?

What tuition?

What scholarship?

What alternatives?

What other countries offer the same program?

This changes the conversation from:

DESTINATION FIRST

to:

EDUCATION FIRST.

CANADA CAN BE AN OPTION WITHOUT BEING THE ONLY OPTION

Many Punjab families naturally consider Canada.

But education planning should remain flexible.

Students can also explore:

United Kingdom

United States

Australia

New Zealand

Europe

UAE

Asia

India

Other International Destinations

Why keep multiple options open?

Because:

University requirements change.

Costs change.

Scholarships change.

Immigration policies change.

Career markets change.

Family circumstances change.

Student interests change.

A student should build a strong academic profile first.

Then compare destinations.

PREPARE BROADLY.

CHOOSE CAREFULLY.

THE STUDENT'S LOCATION SHOULD NOT DEFINE THE STUDENT'S FUTURE

A student may study in a village or smaller community.

That does not mean the student's ambition needs to be smaller.

Technology increasingly allows students to connect with:

International learning platforms

Canadian high school courses

Global university information

Academic resources

Teacher support

and international education planning

without requiring them to live in a metropolitan city.

For a student in VPO Butala, this can mean:

STUDY LOCALLY.

ACCESS CANADIAN EDUCATION ONLINE.

THINK INTERNATIONALLY.

ONLINE EDUCATION CAN BRING ONTARIO CLOSER TO PUNJAB

Ontario and Punjab are geographically far apart.

Online education reduces that academic distance.

Students can access their Canadian coursework from India and develop familiarity with:

Ontario course expectations

Canadian academic terminology

Course codes

Credit requirements

University prerequisites

independent assignments

and online learning.

This can create a more gradual transition into international education.

HOW MUCH ADDITIONAL STUDY MAY BE REQUIRED?

Parents naturally worry about academic workload.

A student may already have:

School hours

Homework

Tests

Assignments

Projects

Board-examination preparation

Competitive examination preparation

Sports

Family commitments

and travel time.

The Canadian pathway therefore needs to be planned carefully.

Students in the parallel model generally begin with:

ONE ONTARIO COURSE AT A TIME.

Typical additional study may be approximately:

1 TO 1.5 HOURS PER DAY*

depending on:

Student ability

Grade

Course

Learning pace

Assignment requirements

and academic plan.

The objective is not academic overload.

The objective is controlled, steady progress.

ONE COURSE AT A TIME CAN CREATE BETTER FOCUS

Trying to complete too many additional courses at once can create unnecessary pressure.

Focusing on one Ontario course may help students:

Understand Concepts More Deeply

Manage Their Schedule

Maintain Their Local School Priorities

Develop Better Study Habits

Complete Coursework Consistently

Protect Academic Quality

Progress Gradually Toward Ontario Credits

A student's pace can be reviewed over time.

CLASS 10 AND CLASS 12 EXAMINATIONS STILL MATTER

Students should not compromise major Indian examinations simply because they are pursuing an additional Canadian pathway.

Where appropriate under the student's academic plan, Ontario studies can be scheduled around demanding local examination periods.

A student may be able to:

CONTINUE ONTARIO STUDIES

↓

PREPARE FOR BOARD EXAMINATIONS

↓

TAKE AN APPROVED PAUSE WHERE APPLICABLE

↓

COMPLETE THE LOCAL EXAMINATION PERIOD

↓

RESUME CANADIAN COURSEWORK

This helps create balance between both educational responsibilities.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL EDUCATION MAY BE REVIEWED

Students entering the Ontario pathway do not necessarily begin from zero.

A Grade 10, Grade 11 or Grade 12 student may already have completed significant secondary education.

Previous academic records may be reviewed according to applicable Ontario requirements.

This can include:

Marksheets

Report Cards

Previous Subjects

Grade Levels

Academic Results

Years of Schooling

Other Supporting Academic Documentation

Eligible previous learning may be recognized when developing the student's Ontario pathway.

EVERY STUDENT CAN HAVE A DIFFERENT OSSD PLAN

An effective international pathway should not use one identical course list for everyone.

A Grade 9 student may have several years available.

A Grade 11 student may need a more targeted plan.

A Grade 12 student may need careful academic review and senior-course planning.

Individual factors can include:

Entry Grade

Previous Studies

Academic Performance

Ontario Requirements

Remaining Credits

Career Direction

University Program

Student Workload

Required Prerequisites

The result should be:

A STUDENT-SPECIFIC ACADEMIC ROADMAP.

CAREER PLANNING SHOULD COME BEFORE RANDOM COURSE SELECTION

Students sometimes select courses because:

Friends selected them.

They sound easy.

They are familiar.

They appear popular.

or they were available.

That may create problems later.

A better model is:

CAREER INTEREST

↓

UNIVERSITY DEGREE

↓

UNIVERSITY PREREQUISITES

↓

REQUIRED GRADE 11 & 12 SUBJECTS

↓

OSSD COURSE PLAN

↓

UNIVERSITY APPLICATION

This creates purpose behind each subject.

OSSD FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS

Students considering:

Mechanical Engineering

Civil Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Computer Engineering

Chemical Engineering

Architecture

Physics

Technology

or related programs

should research university prerequisites carefully.

Different universities may require combinations of:

English

Advanced mathematics

Calculus

Physics

Chemistry

or other courses.

Planning early can help students avoid missing an important requirement.

OSSD FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE, AI & DATA STUDENTS

Technology careers continue to attract students globally.

Those interested in:

Computer Science

Artificial Intelligence

Machine Learning

Software Engineering

Data Science

Cybersecurity

Information Technology

Cloud Computing

or similar fields

should pay particular attention to mathematics prerequisites.

University requirements vary.

Strong early planning can preserve more options.

OSSD FOR MEDICAL & HEALTH-SCIENCE INTERESTS

Students exploring:

Health Sciences

Biology

Life Sciences

Biomedical Sciences

Nursing

Public Health

or related pathways

may require specific science and mathematics courses.

Students should investigate intended university prerequisites before finalizing senior-level courses.

OSSD FOR BUSINESS, COMMERCE & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Punjab has a strong business and entrepreneurial culture.

Students interested in:

Business

Commerce

Finance

Accounting

Economics

Management

Marketing

Entrepreneurship

International Business

or analytics

can build an Ontario course plan aligned with relevant university requirements.

Mathematics can be important for many business and economics programs.

OSSD FOR LAW, HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES

Students interested in:

Law

Politics

Psychology

International Relations

Sociology

History

Humanities

Public Policy

or communication

may need another academic combination.

English and strong communication can be especially important.

OSSD FOR DESIGN, MEDIA & CREATIVE PROGRAMS

Students considering:

Design

Fine Arts

Media

Film

Animation

Communication

Creative Industries

or similar programs

may need to prepare both:

Academic prerequisites

and

Portfolio or supplementary materials.

Starting early gives students time to develop both.

WHAT IF A STUDENT IS STILL UNDECIDED?

Not every young student should already know their lifelong career.

That is normal.

For an undecided student, early planning can focus on:

Keeping Options Open

Building Strong English

Maintaining Mathematics Skills

Developing Research Skills

Exploring Careers

Understanding Personal Strengths

Building Academic Discipline

Students can narrow their path gradually.

ONTARIO LEARNING CAN EMPHASIZE APPLICATION

International university study often expects students to do more than repeat facts.

Students may need to:

Analyze information

Interpret evidence

Compare viewpoints

Solve unfamiliar problems

Explain reasoning

Write independently

Conduct research

Present ideas

Work collaboratively

Manage deadlines

The Ontario pathway can give students opportunities to practise these kinds of skills during high school.

ASSESSMENT CAN INCLUDE MULTIPLE FORMS OF LEARNING EVIDENCE

Depending on the Ontario course and applicable current policy, assessment can include:

Assignments

Projects

Tests

Quizzes

Research

Presentations

Written Work

Course Activities

Final Evaluations

Examinations Where Applicable

Students should follow the current Victoria Academy course outline for the specific assessment structure.

The goal is to evaluate student learning using appropriate evidence across the course.

FROM “WHAT DID YOU MEMORIZE?” TO “HOW CAN YOU APPLY IT?”

Students preparing for higher education should gradually become comfortable with questions such as:

Why?

How?

What evidence supports this?

How can this concept be applied?

What would happen in a different situation?

How would you explain your reasoning?

These questions develop deeper academic thinking.

RESEARCH SKILLS CAN BECOME UNIVERSITY SKILLS

University students may be expected to:

Identify reliable information.

Read multiple sources.

Compare arguments.

Write reports.

Reference evidence.

Present conclusions.

Complete independent projects.

Starting these skills during high school can make the transition to university more manageable.

ENGLISH IS MORE THAN AN EXAMINATION SUBJECT

Students planning international education may eventually need English for:

Lectures

Textbooks

Research

Group discussions

Presentations

Academic writing

Emails

Applications

Interviews

and daily university communication.

Developing academic English earlier can help students feel more prepared later.

INDEPENDENT LEARNING BECOMES INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT

At university, students often have greater responsibility for their own progress.

Professors may not remind them every day.

Students need to manage:

Schedules

Assignments

Readings

Projects

Exams

Research

and deadlines.

Online high school learning can also require:

Self-discipline

Time management

Consistency

and responsibility.

These habits can become valuable later.

INTERNATIONAL PREPARATION WITHOUT IMMEDIATE FAMILY SEPARATION

For some parents, sending a teenager abroad during high school can feel too early.

Concerns may include:

Age

Maturity

Safety

Accommodation

Food

Supervision

Cost

Loneliness

Culture shock

and separation from family.

Online Canadian high school study provides another option.

Students can gain international academic exposure while still:

Living at home.

Eating with family.

Remaining connected to their community.

Continuing existing friendships.

Receiving parental support.

The family can consider physical relocation later.

THE FINANCIAL DIFFERENCE CAN ALSO MATTER

Studying physically abroad during high school can involve more than tuition.

Additional costs may include:

Accommodation

Food

Transport

Flights

Insurance

Guardian arrangements

Daily expenses

and other living costs.

Online study can allow families to begin Canadian high school education without immediately assuming all the costs associated with overseas residence.

This does not mean university abroad will be inexpensive.

It means families can separate:

ACADEMIC PREPARATION NOW

from

INTERNATIONAL RELOCATION LATER.

BUILD INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE BEFORE MAKING A MAJOR RELOCATION DECISION

A student may think they want to study abroad.

But actual international academic exposure can help them understand:

How comfortable they are with independent learning.

How they manage online systems.

How well they communicate academically.

Which subjects they enjoy.

Which university programs interest them.

This creates more information for future decision-making.

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH SHOULD BEGIN EARLY — BUT NOT WITH PANIC

Students do not need to apply to university in Grade 9.

But they can begin learning.

In earlier grades, they can explore:

Careers

Countries

Programs

Subject requirements

scholarships

and broad university expectations.

By Grade 11, research can become more specific.

By Grade 12, students should ideally have a clearer application strategy.

BUILD A FOUR-YEAR GLOBAL PREPARATION MINDSET

A simple long-term approach can look like this:

GRADE 9 — DISCOVER

Explore interests.

Build strong study habits.

Develop communication.

Learn about different careers.

GRADE 10 — EXPLORE

Compare streams.

Understand future subject choices.

Begin researching university pathways.

GRADE 11 — PLAN

Identify university programs.

Research prerequisites.

Choose senior courses strategically.

Begin scholarship awareness.

GRADE 12 — EXECUTE

Complete required courses.

Protect academic results.

Prepare applications.

Meet deadlines.

Submit scholarship applications.

Compare final offers.

This creates a structured progression.

SCHOLARSHIP PLANNING SHOULD ALSO BEGIN EARLY

Students frequently ask about scholarships only after receiving an admission offer.

That can be too late for some opportunities.

Scholarship research can involve:

Academic Merit Awards

Automatic Entrance Scholarships

Competitive Scholarships

International Student Awards

Program-Specific Scholarships

Leadership Awards

Other Institutional Funding

Strong academic performance can become important.

SELECTED UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES MAY REACH UP TO ₹47 LAKH*

Eligible students with strong academic profiles may explore selected university scholarship opportunities that can reach substantial values.

Some selected international opportunities may reach:

UP TO ₹47 LAKH*

depending on:

University

Program

Academic results

Scholarship rules

Competition

Application deadline

and annual availability.

This is an opportunity to explore.

It is not a guaranteed benefit.

CAN OSSD STUDENTS RECEIVE IELTS FLEXIBILITY?

Possibly, depending on the university.

Some institutions may provide eligible OSSD students or graduates with flexibility regarding additional English-language proficiency testing.

However:

OSSD DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GUARANTEE AN IELTS WAIVER.

University policies differ.

A university may:

Accept qualifying Ontario English study.

Require IELTS.

Accept TOEFL.

Accept Duolingo English Test.

Use another English-language assessment.

or apply program-specific requirements.

Students should always verify current policy.

VICTORIA ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Victoria Academy's standard annual tuition is:

CAD $18,000*

Eligible students may receive significant scholarship support based on applicable eligibility and scholarship assessment.

Current scholarship opportunities may provide approximately:

80%–85% SCHOLARSHIP*

Illustrative tuition after scholarship may be approximately:

CAD $2,700–$3,600 PER YEAR*

For Indian families, this may be approximately:

₹1.8 LAKH–₹2.3 LAKH PER YEAR*

Actual amounts depend on:

Scholarship result

Student grade

Academic plan

Applicable fees

Official offer

and currency exchange rate.

The student's official offer letter and invoice should always be used for final financial information.

The local school does not need to collect Victoria Academy tuition from parents.

Depending on the student's official offer and invoice, payment arrangements may include:

FULL PAYMENT

SEMI-ANNUAL PAYMENT

QUARTERLY PAYMENT

Parents should follow the student's official payment instructions.

PARENTS SHOULD REMAIN INFORMED THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY

International education planning should never become a process parents cannot understand.

Parents should know:

Which Ontario course the student is taking.

How the student is progressing.

Which credits have been completed.

What remains.

How university planning is developing.

Which subjects are recommended.

The pathway can include:

Academic Guidance

Progress Visibility

Course Planning

Credit Tracking

Parent Communication

University Pathway Discussions

Transparency creates better decision-making.

SHRI KALGIDHAR PUBLIC SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL REMAINS THE STUDENT'S LOCAL FOUNDATION

The Victoria Academy pathway is not intended to replace the student's connection with their existing school.

Students remain part of:

SHRI KALGIDHAR PUBLIC SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

while eligible students undertake the Canadian academic component through:

VICTORIA ACADEMY, ONTARIO, CANADA.

Partnership activities may include:

Student Information Sessions

Scholarship Assessments

Parent Orientation

Canadian Education Awareness

Academic Planning

University Pathway Discussions

Student Coordination

Progress Communication

The local school supports the student's existing education.

Victoria Academy provides the Ontario component.

THE STORY OF BUTALA: GLOBAL OPPORTUNITY DOES NOT HAVE TO BEGIN IN A BIG CITY

For decades, major international opportunities often appeared concentrated in larger cities.

Technology is changing that.

A student in Butala can access information and learning that once required:

Travel.

Relocation.

A metropolitan school.

or physical access to an international campus.

Today, a student may remain in the Baba Bakala area while connecting with Ontario education online.

That makes this partnership especially meaningful.

GLOBAL EDUCATION CAN BEGIN IN A LOCAL COMMUNITY.

A VILLAGE ADDRESS CAN STILL LEAD TO A GLOBAL UNIVERSITY ADDRESS

Today's school address may be:

VPO BUTALA, TEHSIL BABA BAKALA, DISTRICT AMRITSAR.

Tomorrow's university address could be:

Toronto.

Vancouver.

London.

Manchester.

Melbourne.

Sydney.

Dubai.

New York.

Auckland.

Berlin.

or somewhere else entirely.

The student's current geography is a starting point.

It does not have to become a boundary.

PUNJAB'S INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS CAN BECOME AN ACADEMIC ADVANTAGE

Punjab's international networks can expose young students to global possibilities early.

Students may hear firsthand experiences from:

Cousins abroad

Relatives overseas

Friends studying internationally

family members working in another country

or returning graduates.

That awareness can create ambition.

The next step is to connect that ambition with academic preparation.

GLOBAL AWARENESS + ACADEMIC PREPARATION = STRONGER DECISION-MAKING.

GOING ABROAD SHOULD BE AN EDUCATION DECISION — NOT ONLY A SOCIAL TREND

When many people around a student talk about studying abroad, it can become easy to follow the trend without asking deeper questions.

Students should consider:

Why this country?

Why this university?

Why this program?

What career does it lead to?

What will it cost?

What are the alternatives?

Does another country offer a better program?

Can scholarships reduce the cost?

The goal is not simply:

FOLLOW WHERE OTHERS GO.

The goal is:

CHOOSE WHAT FITS THE STUDENT.

EVERY STUDENT'S INTERNATIONAL JOURNEY SHOULD BE DIFFERENT

One student may become an engineer.

Another may build a business.

Another may enter healthcare.

Another may study law.

Another may become a designer.

Another may remain in India.

Another may study abroad and return.

Another may build a career across several countries.

There is no single correct international pathway.

The purpose of education is to create the knowledge and flexibility that allow students to make informed choices.

BUILD OPTIONS BEFORE MAKING THE FINAL DECISION

A student does not need to decide today exactly where they will live at age 25.

High school planning should focus on:

Academic Strength

Required Subjects

Good Grades

International Skills

University Awareness

Scholarship Awareness

Career Exploration

Flexibility

A stronger academic profile gives students more options later.

WHY THIS PARTNERSHIP CAN MATTER FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

The value of the partnership is not simply another school program.

It can help students begin thinking differently about education.

Instead of asking only:

“What marks will I get?”

students can also ask:

“What can I do with what I am learning?”

Instead of asking only:

“Which country should I go to?”

they can ask:

“Which university program is right for me?”

Instead of waiting until Class 12:

“What should I do now?”

students can gradually build a plan years earlier.

That mindset can be valuable regardless of where the student eventually studies.

LOCAL EDUCATION. INTERNATIONAL AWARENESS. GLOBAL READINESS.

The strongest educational pathway may not require students to abandon their local foundation.

Students can remain connected to:

Butala

Baba Bakala

Amritsar district

Punjab

Family

Community

and existing school education

while developing an international academic dimension.

This brings together:

LOCAL IDENTITY

CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL LEARNING

GLOBAL UNIVERSITY PREPARATION.

FROM BUTALA TODAY TO THE WORLD TOMORROW

The story begins in:

BUTALA.

The local school community provides the student's foundation.

Victoria Academy provides an additional Ontario high school pathway.

The student develops:

Knowledge.

Skills.

Credits.

Research ability.

Communication.

Academic independence.
